‘Stranger Things’ Star Jamie Campbell Bower Talks Vecna In Season 5

He's ready for payback.

Stranger Things star and Vecna actor Jamie Campbell Bower says his character will be enraged and out for blood in Season 5.

One of the biggest breakout characters in Stranger Things season 4 was Jamie Campbell Bower’s Vecna. The character was eventually revealed to be behind the unfortunate events that occurred in Season 2 and 3 owing to a vendetta the character had against Eleven. At the end of the season, the character partially succeeded in his plans, opening several rifts in the town of Hawkins.

At the end of season 4, Bower’s Vecna was ultimately thwarted by Eleven and the rest of the series characters, with Nancy knocking him out of a window with a shotgun. However, it was heavily implied that he survived the battle as the main characters were unable to find his body afterward. Unfortunately, this likely only succeeded in pissing the antagonist off.

Vecna Is Not Happy!

In a recent interview with NME, Jamie Campbell Bower couldn’t say what Vecna was up to but imagined that he was infuriated and will be out for blood in Season 5:

“He’s pissed, he’s properly vexed. I don’t think he’s slunk off licking his wounds in misery. He’s rebuilding, and he’s out for blood. It’s like, you’ve really f-cking pushed the buttons now, that classic Jason Voorhees thing — you’ve made a big mistake.”

Here is the synopsis for the fourth season of the Duffer Brothers’ Stranger Things:

“It’s been six months since the Battle of Starcourt, which brought terror and destruction to Hawkins. Struggling with the aftermath, our group of friends are separated for the first time – and navigating the complexities of high school hasn’t made things any easier. In this most vulnerable time, a new and horrifying supernatural threat surfaces, presenting a gruesome mystery that, if solved, might finally put an end to the horrors of the Upside Down.”

Created by the Duffer Brothers, the Netflix series stars Winona Ryder, David Harbour, Finn Wolfhard, Millie Bobby Brown, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Noah Schnapp, Sadie Sink, Natalia Dyer, Charlie Heaton, Joe Keery, Maya Hawke, Priah Ferguson, Cara Buono, Brett Gelman, Jamie Campbell Bower, Eduardo Franco, and Joseph Quinn.

All four seasons are available to stream on Netflix. Stay tuned for all the latest news on the show’s upcoming season and be sure to subscribe to Heroic Hollywood’s YouTube channel for more original video content.
