‘Stranger Things’ Adding A New Female Cast Member For Season Two

Stranger Things season two has been confirmed and news has surfaced that the main showrunners are already looking to add some new cast members. The new cast will include a new female friend for Mike, Dustin, and Lucas.

According to TV Line, series creators Matt and Ross Duffer have plans for new characters and have already decided on introducing another female. The girl is being described as a younger girl (age around 12 to 14) who is named Max. She will be “tough and confident” and will fit in better with the boys than the girls in this time period. Additional casting for Max’s brother and the role of “Roman” is also underway.

The story will take place in the fall of 1984, almost a year after the events of the first season. Most of the cast members are expected to return, but the Duffer Brothers won’t confirm whether Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) will also be back.

A love letter to the supernatural classics of the 80’s, Stranger Things is the story of a young boy who vanishes into thin air. As friends, family and local police search for answers, they are drawn into an extraordinary mystery involving top-secret government experiments, terrifying supernatural forces and one very strange little girl.

The cast features Winona Ryder, David Harbour, Finn Wolfhard, Millie Bobby Brown, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Charlie Heaton, Cara Buono, Noah Schnapp, Shannon Purser, Ross Partridge and Matthew Modine.

The entire first season of Stranger Things is now available to stream on Netflix.
