Stranger ThingsStranger Things star Gaten Matarazzo has teased that opened up, teasing a little of what fans can expect from the series when it returns this fall.

The young star became a sensation, stealing the hearts of fans as Dustin Henderson in the Netflix smash hit series. Matarazzo himself has proved to be the best friend anyone could ask for both on and of screen and Movie Pilot was lucky enough to catch up with him this past weekend at ComicCONN.

When asked about what he would like to see explored with his character, Matarazzo explained that he wants to know more about Dustin’s life prior to him moving to Hawkins, Indiana:

“Beyond, I kind of want to see his character’s history and dive into it a little more. Like where he’s from originally because he moved to Hawkins in the fourth grade. So that would be cool to find out where he is from.”

Matarazzo was also asked giant spider monster seen in the Super Bowl spot which the cast recently revealed they call the Shadow Monster. Matarazzo remained tight-lipped about what the creature is but teased that the monster itself will be a frightening challenge for the kids this year:

“Scary. I can tell you that it’s scary. That’s really it. That’s really all I can tell you.”

As for what else we can expect to see with Dustin in season two, it was previously revealed that he would be getting a polliwog-like pet that he would bond with, likely around the sixth episode which is titled “The Pollywog”. The Duffer Brothers recently teased that Gremlins will have a significant influence on the second season, which possibly gives us of an idea of what we could see transpire between Dustin and his new pet.

Stranger Things 2 stars Winona Ryder, David Harbour, Finn Wolfhard, Millie Bobby Brown, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Natalia Dyer, Charlie Heaton, Joe Keery, and Noah Schnapp. The series has also added Sean Astin (The Goonies), Paul Reiser (Aliens), Brett Gelman (Jobs), Dacre Montgomery (Power Rangers), Danish actress Linnea Berthelsen, and broadway star Sadie Sink into the mix as well.

Stranger Things 2 hits Netflix this Halloween. Stay tuned to Heroic Hollywood for the latest news on Stranger Things as we learn it.
