‘Stranger Things’ Producers Hint At Time Jump For Season 3

Stranger Things Season 3 Time JumpStranger Things 2 has finally been released after over a year of waiting for a reunion with the numerous characters of Hawkins, Indiana introduced to viewers.

On numerous occasions, showrunners the Duffer Brothers have expressed their hopes to follow a Harry Potter-style process with the series, in which we would be watching the young actors mature as each new season is released. And without spoiling details regarding the season finale, more stories will certainly be told in this world.

While promoting Stranger Things 2, producers Shawn Levy and Dan Cohen were hinting at the Duffers’ plans for Stranger Things 3. In particular, Cohen expresses that the series will continue with its time jumps:

“The passing of time in these kids’ lives, and everyone’s inner community, is part of the charm of the show, and [The Duffers] will continue to lean into that.”

What is so brilliant about the series is that along with the Steven Spielberg and Stephen King influences along with the 1980s setting is how it also serves as a worthwhile coming-of-age story for both the middle school students and the high school students.

Seeing these characters continue to grow up and mature after their experiences with all of the traumatic events of their lives will be refreshing. Plus, as the years go by people will look back on the series for jumpstarting the careers of these young actors and actresses.
