Suicide Squad is at the top again, in this case the top of the NPD VideoScan First Alert sales chart, which combines DVD and Blu-ray sales to rank the top 20 titles of the week, according to Home Video Magazine managing editor John Latchem, via Variety. You can see the full list through the link.

Squad, which also topped VideoScan’s dedicated Blu-ray sales ranking, was one of four new releases this week, along with Ben-Hur, Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children, and Bridget Jones’ Baby. It knocked the previous weekend leader, the animated The Secret Life of Pets, to the number two spot. They’re followed by the aforementioned Miss Peregrine’s, Jason Bourne, and Finding Dory. 60 percent of sales for the comic book action movie were Blu-rays.

Despite scathing reviews that it rightfully earned, the supervillain team-up continues to flex its muscles in the marketplace, whether its at the box office where it was a success, if not a smash, or here on home video. While a sequel is in development, the hellish production has put the villainess-centric spinoff Gotham City Sirens at the fore, with Margot Robbie and David Ayer returning to star and direct respectively.

You can buy or rent Suicide Squad now.

Figuring they’re all expendable, a U.S. intelligence officer decides to assemble a team of dangerous, incarcerated supervillains for a top-secret mission. Now armed with government weapons, Deadshot (Will Smith), Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie), Captain Boomerang, Killer Croc and other despicable inmates must learn to work together. Dubbed Task Force X, the criminals unite to battle a mysterious and powerful entity, while the diabolical Joker (Jared Leto) launches an evil agenda of his own.
