Concept art for the lead characters in Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League has been revealed ahead of DC FanDome.

One of the most anticipated games set to hit consoles next year is Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League, which is being developed by the iconic Rocksteady Studios. The studios previously worked on the Batman: Arkham trilogy, which set a new bar for superhero video games, paving the way for the likes of Deadpool and Sony’s Spider-Man games. Now, the studio is returning with another DC property after a half a decade wait.

The studio’s next game is set to be Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League, which made its debut at last year’s DC FanDome. Details on the game’s mechanics are unclear at the moment though we should know more at the studio’s panel. Ahead of the virtual fan event’s sophomore year, various creatives from Rocksteady took to Twitter to share character art from the game’s four lead playable protagonists.

Fans can expect more of Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League at next week’s event. Last year fans were treated to a CGI trailer, so it’s likely we’ll get a full-fledged gameplay demo this time around. The game is currently set to hit store shelves and digital storefronts later next year.

Here is the synopsis for Rocksteady’s last game, Batman: Arkham Knight:

In the explosive finale to the Arkham series, Batman faces the ultimate threat against the city he is sworn to protect. The Scarecrow returns to unite an impressive roster of super villains, including Penguin, Two-Face and Harley Quinn, to destroy The Dark Knight forever. Batman: Arkham Knight introduces Rocksteady’s uniquely designed version of the Batmobile, which is drivable for the first time in the franchise. The addition of this legendary vehicle, combined with the acclaimed gameplay of the Batman Arkham series, offers gamers the ultimate and complete Batman experience as they tear through the streets and soar across the skyline of the entirety of Gotham City.

Batman: Arkham Knight is available on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC, while Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League is currently scheduled to arrive in 2022.
