The Worst Heroes Ever are about to make their way to theaters worldwide on August 5th. The hype surrounding Suicide Squad is gigantic. It’s the first villain focused Comic Book movie. But, it’s also the most tweeted film this year, with over 130,000 tweets. A lot is riding on Suicide Squad to be successful. After Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice was completely destroyed by critics and some fans, Suicide Squad needs to be a smash hit. Squad has to become a Critical and Financial success for WB to get back on the positive side of things.

It looks like they’re doing things a bit differently with Suicide Squad. The film is being marketed with confidence, unlike Batman v Superman. They started by launching a DC Films special that would end with a brand new Squad trailer and then a few months later they dropped another trailer at the MTV Movie Awards. The trailers promote fun, a thing Bvs didn’t have. Even today the U.K Twitter account for Suicide Squad, posted a very fun soccer themed video running down the character bios for our Squad full of bad guys. You can check it out below.

Here’s the official synopsis for the Suicide Squad movie:

It feels good to be bad… Assemble a team of the world’s most dangerous, incarcerated Super Villains, provide them with the most powerful arsenal at the government’s disposal, and send them off on a mission to defeat an enigmatic, insuperable entity. U.S. intelligence officer Amanda Waller has determined only a secretly convened group of disparate, despicable individuals with next to nothing to lose will do. However, once they realize they weren’t picked to succeed but chosen for their patent culpability when they inevitably fail, will the Suicide Squad resolve to die trying, or decide it’s every man for himself?

Suicide Squad is directed by David Ayer and will star Will Smith as Deadshot, Jared Leto as The Joker, Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, Joel Kinnaman as Rick Flag and Viola Davis as Amanda Waller. The film hits theaters August 5th, 2016!
