Whenever someone is cast in a role for a superhero film or TV series, some people will automatically think about what hero they may be playing. In reality, while the casting of the heroes with special abilities is crucial, what is just as crucial is the casting of non-super characters who help bring the larger-than-life hero down to Earth. For the show Supergirl, Winslow “Winn” Schott, Jr. (Jeremy Jordan) is one of those characters.

Given the nature of his role, Jordan’s Winn gets to help Melissa Benoist’s Kara Danvers/Supergirl on her adventures and missions. Although that he along with other supporting characters are integral to the story they rarely get to participate in all the fun special effects that Benoist has the privilege of working with.

Recently, Jordan expressed that in the future, he would love to step into the role of a superhero. While speaking with South Florida Gay News, he voiced that he had a twinge of jealousy seeing some of his superhero co-stars being right inside the heroic onscreen action:

“I’d love to play a superhero someday. I never get to do any of the green screen (special effects) stuff and I can’t say that I’m not a little bit jealous.”

Jordan revealed that if he were to get a superhero role, he hopes that the character would be “Really cool, or maybe even a little bit of a dork.”

If Jordan were cast as a superhero, what character would you like to see play? Do you want him to remain in the DC Comics sandbox? Or perhaps you would be interested in seeing him play within the lore of Marvel Comics? Sound off in the comments below.
