The CW has dropped a new poster for the third season of its hit DC Comics series Superman and Lois.

The anticipation for the third season of Superman and Lois just got higher with the recent release of another poster featuring the iconic superhero and his family. In the poster, Clark Kent (played by Tyler Hoechlin) is seen alongside his wife Lois Lane (Elizabeth Tulloch) and their two sons Jonathan (Michael Bishop) and Jordan (Alexander Garfin) at the Fortress of Solitude.

The Fortress of Solitude is a key element of Superman’s mythology It’s a vast complex located in the Arctic and serves as his headquarters and sanctuary. The poster, which was released on the social media pages of the live-action DC Comics series, features the family standing at the crystal structure of the fortress, with the sun shining in the background.

The full cast of Superman and Lois also includes Alex Garfin, Michael Bishop, Erik Valdez, Wolé Parks, Adam Rayner, Dylan Walsh, Emmanuelle Chriqui, Tayler Buck and Sofia Hasmik. The DC Comics series was developed by Greg Berlanti and Todd Helbing, with David Madden, Geoff Johns, Kristi Korzec, Sarah Schechter and Lee Toland Krieger serving as executive producers.

The storyline of season three

According to an official synopsis, Superman and Lois season three “opens weeks after Superman’s blowout defeat of Ally Allston. Clark and Lois are now working at the Smallville Gazette together and enjoying small town life. But the Kents’ romantic bliss only shines a light on how isolating “the secret” can be, as Chrissy struggles to balance a new love interest and her friendship with Lois. However, Lois’ own work-life balance is put to the test when an undercover assignment reveals a deadly foe that promises to change the Kent family forever. Superman would move heaven and earth for his family, but with a villain this merciless, even that might not be enough.”

“Meanwhile, the Kent boys find themselves being pulled in opposite directions as Jordan discovers what a superhero-identity really means and Jonathan searches for purpose beyond the football field,” the synopsis continues. “Amid all this upheaval, John Henry is haunted by his doppelgänger’s past, leading to dangerous consequences for him and Natalie . Lana Lang and Kyle redefine their family post-separation, while Sarah explores what the future holds for her and Jordan now that she knows the truth about his powers. Having learned the hard way that no one else can be trusted to work with Superman, General Samuel Lane reclaims his post at the Department of Defense, only to face his own conflict in working with his grandson, Jordan.”
