Warner Bros. released the official trailer for the animated film adaptation of Superman: Red Son.
Mark Millar’s Superman: Red Son comic book mini-series offered fans a glimpse at what would have happened if Kal-El’s spacecraft had landed in the Soviet Union instead of Smallville, Kansas. Next year, Warner Bros. Animation will retell the acclaimed Elseworlds story with a new animated feature and now IGN has released the official trailer for Superman: Red Son.
In addition to giving fans a preview of how the world turned out with Superman as an asset for the Soviet Union, the Red Son trailer also features appearances by multiple versions of the DC heroes such as Green Lantern and Wonder Woman. However, the most exciting moment in the Superman: Red Son trailer might be a glimpse at the confrontation between the Man of Steel and Batmankoff.

Here is the official synopsis for the Superman: Red Son comic:
“Imagine a reality where the world’s most powerful super-being does not grow up in Smallville, Kansas – or even America, for that matter…
SUPERMAN: RED SON is a vivid tale of Cold War paranoia, that reveals how the ship carrying the infant who would later be known as Superman lands in the midst of the 1950s Soviet Union. Raised on a collective, the infant grows up and becomes a symbol to the Soviet people, and the world changes drastically from what we know – bringing Superman into conflict with Batman, Lex Luthor and many others.”
Superman: Red Son features the voice talents of Jason Isaacs as Superman, Diedrich Bader as Lex Luthor, Amy Acker as Lois Lane, Vanessa Marshall as Wonder Woman, Phil Morris as James Olsen, Paul Williams as Brainiac, Roger Craig Smith as Batman, Sasha Roiz as Green Lantern / Hal Jordan, Phil LaMarr as Green Lantern / John Stewart, William Salyers as Stalin, Jim Meskimen as JFK, Travis Willingham as Superior Man, and Winter Ave Zoli as Svetlana.
Superman: Red Son will be released in 2020.
