Taron Egerton Makes The Case For ‘Kingsman’ & ‘Deadpool’ Crossover

Kingsman The Secret Service Taron Egerton

Kingsman: The Secret Service introduced audiences to Gary “Eggsy” Unwin, a rookie recruit to the secret spy organization, played by Taron Egerton. In an interview with MTV International to promote the animated film Sing, Egerton briefly discussed which comic book film series he would like to see crossover into the world of Kingsman.

When asked which comic book property he would like the see the Kingsman film series crossover with, Taron Egerton suggested Deadpool based on their mature content.

“Wow. That’s a hell of a question. I guess the tone of Deadpool would probably lend itself best. You know, some of the others are maybe a bit more family oriented, whereas Kingsman and Deadpool are both pretty ‘R’, so I guess maybe that would work quite well. Ryan’s a great guy.”

Taron Egerton could not predict what kind of adventures his character would have alongside the Merc with a Mouth.

“Who knows, who knows. I don’t know. I dread to think what those boys would get up to.”

While we may never see Taron Egerton’s Galahad meet Reynolds’ Wade Wilson, both characters will be featured in their own respective sequels.

While few details on the plot for Kingsman: The Golden Circle are known, aside from the fact that an international threat will send Kingsman to the United States to join forces with their American counterpart known as the Statesman, Taron Egerton has teased that there will be political elements to the film.

Directed by Matthew Vaughn, the film will also star Julianne Moore, Mark Strong, Halle Berry, Pedro Pascal, Channing Tatum, Jeff Bridges, Sophie Cookson, Colin Firth, Samantha Womack, Edward Holcroft, Elton John and Vinnie Jones.

Kingsman: The Golden Circle will be released in theaters on 6 October, 2017.

The Deadpool sequel is scheduled to be released in 2018.
