Warner Bros. Animation’s big screen comedy, Teen Titans GO! To The Movies was a surprisingly endearing and consistently hilarious romp that fabulously parodies the current state of superheroes in film by using the titular youthful team of heroes on their latest misadventure. The series honored more than just DC’s catalog of canon but also had some references to the Marvel Universe – right down to a cameo from none other than living legend Stan Lee.
Lee is known to make some interesting cameos in most of the Marvel films released under Disney, Fox and Sony. However, for obvious reasons, Lee has never made a cameo in a DC film. It makes sense, given that he is known for his ties to Marvel Comics, but Teen Titans GO! To The Movies marks the first time his likeness and voice appeared in a DC film.

This is not the first time we see Lee in animated form. The Marvel legend previously appeared in Disney’s Academy Award-winning feature, Big Hero 6. Either way, it is always fun to see Stan Lee do any type of cameo he gets a chance to do. After all, it seems as though his legacy will equally involve his famous cameos just as much as his numerous contributions to the comic book industry and storytelling as we know it today.
