Warner Bros. announced Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Michael Caine have joined the cast of Christopher Nolan’s upcoming film Tenet.
Today, Warner Bros. announced Christopher Nolan’s next film will officially be titled Tenet and production on the secretive project is currently underway, with filming scheduled to take place across seven countries. The studio also revealed Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Michael Caine have joined the cast, though details on their roles were not divulged.
Aaron Taylor-Johnson’s previous credits include Kick-Ass, Godzilla (2014), Avengers: Age of Ultron, Nocturnal Animals, and Outlaw King. Tenet will mark Aaron Taylor Johnson’s first collaboration with Christopher Nolan. Of course, Michael Caine previously worked with Christopher Nolan on The Prestige, Inception, Interstellar, and The Dark Knight Trilogy.
Full plot details on Tenet are currently under wraps, though Warner Bros. officially describes the film as “an action epic evolving from the world of international espionage.”
Written and directed by Christopher Nolan, Tenet stars John David Washington, Robert Pattinson, Elizabeth Debicki, Dimple Kapadia, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Clémence Poésy, Michael Caine and Kenneth Branagh. Christopher Nolan also serves as a producer alongside his wife Emma Thomas, with Thomas Hayslip on board as an executive producer.
The Tenet crew includes director of photography Hoyte van Hoytema (Interstellar), score composer Ludwig Göransson (Black Panther), production designer Nathan Crowley (The Dark Knight), editor Jennifer Lame (Manchester by the Sea), costume designer Jeffrey Kurland (Dunkirk), and visual effects supervisor Andrew Jackson (Mad Max: Fury Road).
Tenet is scheduled to be released in theaters on July 17, 2020.
