Deadpool director Tim Miller’s yet-to-be titled sixth installment in the Terminator series is officially set to hit theaters on July 26, 2019, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Arnold Schwarzenegger and Linda Hamilton are both back, with James Cameron on board as a producer. The new film is said to be a direct sequel to Terminator 2: Judgment Day with a young woman as the main character, but that’s all that known about the project for the time being.
Miller is directing Terminator 6, making this his first project since his departure from Deadpool 2. For Terminator 6, Miller and Cameron created a writers room featuring the likes of David Goyer, Charles Eglee, Josh Friedman and Justin Rhodes, who are developing a script that can stand on its own while simultaneously forming an overarching storyline for what is planned to be a new trilogy of Terminator movies.
