Tessa Thompson is down to star in a Valkyrie solo movie and has the perfect choice in mind for who should direct it.
Thor: Ragnarok was full of fan-favorite heroes and villains that it’s hard to say which one was the stand-out character. When the film opened in 2017, fans were very adamant about seeing one character, in particular, getting her own solo movie and that was Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson).
Though she didn’t appear in Avengers: Infinity War, it’s been confirmed that Valkyrie did survive the events of the film. A Valkyrie solo movie hasn’t officially been announced as part of the upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe film slate just yet, but Thompson has an idea in mind for who should direct the project if it happens. Thompson recently took part in a Q&A alongside Creed II director Steven Caple Jr. and she told him directly that he should direct the Valkyrie movie.
That was in response to audience question about Caple Jr. doing a Creed III and following Ryan's footsteps in doing Marvel

Creed II has been winning over fans and earning solid reviews since its release last week, which isn’t easy considering how beloved Creed and Rocky IV are. Caple Jr. has already proved himself to be a capable director so taking on a movie in the MCU would surely be welcome, considering that Marvel Studios loves to take in directors who have proven themselves but haven’t necessarily directed a big-budget blockbuster yet. Just a few examples of this are Thor: Ragnarok director Taika Waititi, Captain America: The Winter Soldier directors Joe and Anthony Russo, and Black Panther director Ryan Coogler, who helmed Creed prior to joining the MCU.
We’ll be sure to keep you updated on all news regarding the Valkyrie movie as soon as more information becomes available. Do you think that Caple Jr. is a good choice to direct the film? If not, then who would you like to see helm a Valkyrie solo adventure? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below!
