‘The Boys’ Star Chace Crawford Reveals Why He Couldn’t Screen Test For Captain America

Life is often full of regrets over lost parts, and for The Boys star Chace Crawford, one such instance was when he couldn’t screen test for Captain America.

During a recent appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, The Boys star Chace Crawford was asked about his audition for the role of Captain America. Chace Crawford revealed that he actually had a chance to screen test for Captain America. However, Marvel ultimately didn’t allow The Boys star to do it. This was apparently due to Chace Crawford’s New York show commitments that probably would have conflicted with Captain America: The First Avenger:

“I did have a screen test for that back in the day but they actually didn’t let me do it because they realized I was on a show in New York for nine months of the year. I got a screen test deal. A buddy of mine told me he went in there and they had a suit made with my name on it, the whole thing. Yeah after nine films I’m thinking, ‘Man, I would’ve loved a shot at that.'”
