Prime Video is set to expand The Boys universe with a new spin-off series, Vought Rising, starring Jensen Ackles and Aya Cash from the original hit superhero series. Both actors will reprise their roles as Soldier Boy and Stormfront, respectively, and will also serve as producers for the prequel.

During the The Boys Season 4 panel at San Diego Comic-Con, Prime Video not only announced Vought Rising but also confirmed that the existing spin-off series, Gen V, will return for its second season in 2025. Additionally, the panel revealed that Chase Crawford will make a guest appearance as The Deep in the upcoming season of Gen V.

What to expect from The Boys Spin-Off Series Vought Rising

Vought Rising will be led by Paul Grellong, who serves as executive producer and showrunner. Grellong, already an established figure in The Boys series, will collaborate closely with the original show’s developer, executive producer, and showrunner Eric Kripke.

“We are excited to bring you the next deranged series from the world of The Boys,” Kripke and Grellong said. “It’s a twisted murder mystery about the origins of Vought in the 1950s, the early exploits of Soldier Boy, and the diabolical maneuvers of a Supe known to fans as Stormfront, who was then going by the name Clara Vought,. We cannot wait to blow your minds and trouble your souls with this salacious, grisly saga drenched in blood and Compound V.”

During the Comic-Con panel, Eric Kripke announced that Jensen Ackles would rejoin the cast of The Boys as a series regular for the show’s fifth and final season. Soldier Boy was last seen in the Season 4 finale, setting the stage for his return as the series approaches its climactic conclusion.
