The CW has given early-season renewals to Grant Gustin’s The Flash and more Arrowverse shows.
While Arrow is set to conclude this month after eight seasons, the rest of Arrowverse shows are moving forward and The CW has renewed each one for an additional year. Today, Grant Gustin’s The Flash, Batwoman, Supergirl, and DC’s Legends of Tomorrow were among the 13 series renewed by The CW.
With these renewals, Grant Gustin’s The Flash will enter its seventh season next year while Supergirl and Legends of Tomorrow will enter their sixth. The CW president Mark Pedowitz made the following statement on the renewals for the Arrowverse shows and other series:
“These early orders for next season give our production teams a head start in plotting out story arcs and a jump on hiring staff, and this also provides us with a strong foundation of established, fan-favorite CW shows to build on for next season. We’ve been thrilled with the creative direction of all three new series, and even though we are in the very early stages of our new full stack streaming strategy, which allows viewers to catch up on our new shows from the beginning, we’re already seeing incredibly positive results from our multiplatform viewership for “Nancy Drew” and “Batwoman”.”
