‘The Flash’ Casts ‘Harry Potter’s Tom Felton As Series Regular

While we have been hearing several casting news for the other CW-DCTV shows like Arrow, Supergirl and DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, it has been pretty quiet on The Flash front, until today. It was revealed by TV Line that Harry Potter’s very own Draco Malfoy, Tom Felton, has joined the DC series as a series regular for the third season. Here’s how TV Line describes Felton’s character.

“Felton will play Julian Dorn, a fellow CSI at the Central City Police Department who suspects there’s more to Barry Allen than just his good guy reputation.”

This is the first piece of news that we have gotten for the third season of The Flash, for understandable reasons as the fall season of the show will be dealing with the effects of Barry’s decision in the season two finale. Barry Allen himself, Grant Gustin, revealed on Twitter very recently that the Season 3 premiere will in fact be titled “Flashpoint” as the show will be adapting the famous DC storyline that gave us The New 52.

Felton’s character doesn’t seem to exist in the comics, but there is always the chance that “Julian Dorn” may just be a cover name, given that he will be suspicious of Barry. Could he be the new big bad for Season 3? Only time will tell, but for now it seems that he is an ally-ish. More details of Season 3 will most likely be coming out during San Diego Comic-Con at The Flash panel featuring the cast and crew.

The Flash Season 3 is set to premiere on October 4th at 8/7c on The CW.
