The sixth episode of The Last of Us features a massive mistake from HBO.
A significant Last of Us on-set mishap was brought to light by a wave of social media users following the latest episode of the hit HBO series. Its sixth episode, titled “Kin,” inadvertently included a brief shot that exposed members of show’s production crew. In the opening moments of the episode, an aerial view of the scene captured several crew members lingering on the edges of the frame. The mistake was quickly noticed by The Last of Us viewers on social media. Many took to Twitter to express their surprise and disappointment that such an error could occur in a show of this caliber. Some viewers expressed frustration with the lack of attention to detail while others found the mistake to be amusing.
Developed by Naughty Dog and published by Sony Computer Entertainment, The Last of Us centers on the relationship between a smuggler named Joel Miler and 14-year-old Ellie Williams, the latter of whom may be the key to curing the deadly pandemic that resulted in the post-apocalypse world of the game. Hired to smuggle Ellie out of a quarantine zone, Joel finds himself relying on the teenage girl just as much as she relies on him as they fight to survive on their journey across the United States.
