The third episode of The Mandalorian dropped last Friday, and has been showered with praise from critics and fans alike. Directed by Deborah Chow, the first woman to direct anything live-action for the Star Wars franchise, we see The Mandalorian (Pedro Pascal) utilize his skills as a master assassin and fighter to rescue “Baby Yoda.” What then ensues is some of the most exciting action of the Disney era of Star Wars.

The Mandalorian is set after Return of the Jedi and explores the Star Wars timeline between the original and sequel trilogies for the first time in live-action. Here’s the official synopsis:
After the stories of Jango and Boba Fett, another warrior emerges in the Star Wars universe. The Mandalorian is set after the fall of the Empire and before the emergence of the First Order. We follow the travails of a lone gunfighter in the outer reaches of the galaxy far from the authority of the New Republic.
The Mandalorian can only be watched on Disney Plus, which has so far only launched in a few countries. The series is released on a weekly basis, with the first two episodes of eight online. A second season of the Star Wars show is currently filming.
