The Mandalorian cinematographer Baz Idoine shared a new behind-the-scenes image as the second season officially wraps filming.

The first season of The Mandalorian came to an explosive end with the season finale, which introduced Moff Gideon and revealed his possession of the legendary Darksaber. Filming for the second season has been underway for sometime, with Gina Carano recently sharing on social media that she has wrapped filming.

Not much else is known about the upcoming second season of The Mandalorian other than Jon Favreau directing episodes this time around and familiar Skywalker Saga characters who are set to appear. Based off a new behind-the-scenes image shared on Instagram by cinematographer Baz Idoine, filming on the second season is now in the books.

The Mandalorian slate is for a season two episode directed by Dave Filoni, but it also features a yin and yang koi fish. This could be hinting at things to come in the second season. However, it could also be a reference to Dave Filoni’s work on Avatar: The Last Airbender. Either way, it’s always nice to see filming wrap because it’s one step closer to seeing footage from the upcoming season.

Here is the official synopsis for The Mandalorian:

After the stories of Jango and Boba Fett, another warrior emerges in the Star Wars universe. The Mandalorian is set after the fall of the Empire and before the emergence of the First Order. We follow the travails of a lone gunfighter in the outer reaches of the galaxy far from the authority of the New Republic.

The Mandalorian stars Pedro Pascal, Gina Carano, Giancarlo Esposito, Emily Swallow, Carl Weathers, Omid Abtahi, Werner Herzog, and Nick Nolte. The Star Wars series was written by Jon Favreau, who also serves as an executive producer alongside Dave Filoni, Kathleen Kennedy, and Colin Wilson. Karen Gilchrist is also on board as a co-executive producer.

The Mandalorian season two will premiere in October on Disney Plus.
