A brand new TV spot for The Mandalorian shows off the massive scale of the groundbreaking Star Wars series coming to Disney Plus.
The Mandalorian will be the first live-action Star Wars series and fans are close to seeing the first episode with Disney Plus launching next week. Before the first footage from The Mandalorian debuted, many were skeptical with how the Star Wars series would look with a TV budget. Given what we’ve seen so far, Disney appears to have spared no expense with the series.
More than a decade ago, George Lucas was attempting to bring live-action Star Wars to the small screen but the series was ahead of its time. Jon Favreau’s The Mandalorian looks to be a game changer with its $100 million budget and based on a brand new TV spot that debuted Tuesday night during Arrow. The new footage reveals a new monster creature, scout troopers on speeders, and a new Mandalorian character. You can see the new TV spot below.

Here is the official synopsis for The Mandalorian:
After the stories of Jango and Boba Fett, another warrior emerges in the Star Wars universe. The Mandalorian is set after the fall of the Empire and before the emergence of the First Order. We follow the travails of a lone gunfighter in the outer reaches of the galaxy far from the authority of the New Republic.
The Mandalorian stars Pedro Pascal, Gina Carano, Giancarlo Esposito, Emily Swallow, Carl Weathers, Omid Abtahi, Werner Herzog, and Nick Nolte. The series was written by Jon Favreau, who also serves as an executive producer alongside Dave Filoni, Kathleen Kennedy, and Colin Wilson. Karen Gilchrist is also on board as a co-executive producer.
Dave Filoni will direct the first episode of the series and additional episodes will be helmed by Thor: Ragnarok director Taika Waititi, Jurassic World star Bryce Dallas Howard, Dope director Rick Famuyiwa, and Jessica Jones director Deborah Chow.
