The Mandalorian‘s most beloved character, Baby Yoda has a real name but director Taika Waititi isn’t telling.
Taika Waititi, as we all know was a big part of the hit Disney+ series, The Mandalorian. The director, best know for his work on Thor: Ragnarok, directed the season finale as well as providing the voice for the bounty hunter droid, IG-11 for three of the show’s episodes. During the Golden Globes, Taika Waititi answered a few questions about the Star Wars series , his work on it and a bit about Baby Yoda.
When asked about everyone’s favorite little force user, Baby Yoda, Taika Waititi insisted that the character’s name was not Baby Yoda and he knew the character’s real name. Taika Waititi refused to give any hint about it and said that he was leaving that for Jon Faveau to reveal Baby Yoda’s true name:
I also asked Taika about Baby Yoda, since he directed the MANDALORIAN finale. “He’s not named Baby Yoda!” Taika insisted. There is a name yet to be revealed, and Taika knows it but won’t hint. “I’ll wait for Favreau to give that away.”
