Ahead of The Umbrella Academy season two arriving on Netflix on July 31, the streaming service gave fans a look at the opening scene to the new batch of episodes, and it’ definitely raises some questions. The series picks up right where the first left off, as the family travel back in time to try avert the apocalypse that a disenchanted Vanya had set off after years of feeling like an outsider. But it seems like they might not have fixed things if this new footage is anything to go by.
The scene shows Aidan Gallagher’s Number Five falling into Dallas in the 1960s without his family, only to see the Russian army rolling down the street with tanks and destroying the city. Luckily, there’s a few other heroes here to save the day – with the rest of the family using their varied skillset to fight off the invaders in the impressive action sequence.
