AMC Delays ‘The Walking Dead’ Season 10 Finale Due To Coronavirus

AMC announced on Tuesday that The Walking Dead season ten finale will be delayed to later this year due to the coronavirus pandemic.

It has become a broken record at this point, but the coronavirus pandemic continues to affect so many industries around the world, including entertainment. AMC has already shut down production on Fear The Walking Dead and the release of The Walking Dead: The World Beyond.

Now, AMC has announced that the season ten finale will also face a release delay due to the coronavirus. The season ten finale was originally going to air on April 12th, but now April 5th will be the last episode of season ten until later this year. AMC had this to say in a statement regarding the delay:

“Current events have unfortunately made it impossible to complete post-production of The Walking Dead Season 10 finale, so the current season will end with its 15th episode on April 5. The planned finale will appear as a special episode later in the year.”

Executive producer and visual effects makeup artist Greg Nicotero also commented on his Instagram about the delay (via Twitter):

The good news is AMC will also have all the season ten episodes available for free online after the airing of episode 15 on April 5th. Do you plan on binge-watching the series in self-quarintine? Sound-off in the comments section below!

Here is the official synopsis for The Walking Dead season ten:
