‘The Walking Dead’ Stars Confirm They Will No Longer Attend Walker Stalker Con

The Walking Dead Season 10 Walker Stalker

The Walking Dead star Khary Payton confirmed that he and many of his co-stars are swearing-off the Walker Stalker Con.

Last week, Walker Stalker Con creator James Frazier resigned as CEO following the negative reception towards conventions and an incident in which The Walking Dead star Angel Theory was “verbally assaulted” by a member of the event’s security staff. Furthermore, The Walker Stalker Con has been the subject of controversy following reports of actors not being paid for their appearance and a failure to provide refunds to guests.

In a post on his official Twitter account, The Walking Dead Khary Payton confirmed he and co-stars Norman Reedus, Danai Gurira, Melissa McBride, and Cooper Andrews will no longer attend Walker Stalker Con, which recently announced it will be exclusive to Atlanta, Georgie, after 2020, when the convention returns over Halloween weekend next year. In a follow-up post on Twitter, Khary Payton noted that’s sad The Walking Dead cast had to make this decision but that they will figure out a new way to interact with fans of the series:

“It makes me sad too. Hard to believe something that started off so well could end up this sideways. We’ll figure out a new conduit to see you guys but this has to stop.”
