In short order, Doctor Strange will be out on Blu-Ray and we’ll be able to relive the Sorcerer Supreme’s first MCU outing. As one of the film’s end credits scenes, Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) meets with the God of Thunder himself, Thor (Chris Hemsworth), to discuss the threat his brother Loki (Tom Hiddleston) poses to the world. Thanks to Hemsworth’s Twitter account, we now have a brief behind-the-scenes look at how that scene came together.
As Cumberbatch and Hemsworth have fun on set, executive producer Stephen Broussard says, “Late into the shooting of Strange, the Thor: Ragnarok script was coming together, and as we were reading it, we said, this scene could be hilarious. Wouldn’t it be funny and answer the question right away, what’s it going be like when Doctor Strange enters the Marvel Universe.”
Even though Strange gets down to business in the scene, he still takes time to make sure his guest is taken care of. After learning that Thor isn’t really a tea person, he magically swaps out his glass with a constantly refilling mug of beer. It’s probably a good bet that Dr. Strange made one heck of a first impression on Thor.
You can check out the featurette as seen in Hemsworth’s tweet below.
