Yesterday the first official trailer for Marvel’s Thor: Ragnarok was released and offered fans their first look at some of the new character’s and worlds that will appear in the film. One of the standout new character’s was Cate Blanchett’s Hela, the goddess of death, who is poised to be one of the most formidable antagonist of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. However, while most fans were excited to see Hela in action, a handful may have noticed some similarities between the godess of death and another recent movie antagonist: Rita Repulsa of the recently released Power Rangers reboot.

In fact, the similarities did not escape actress Elizabeth Banks, who starred as the latest version of the classic Power Rangers foe. Banks took to her official Twitter account to humorously compare the villains and then expressed her support for Blanchett. You can view the post below.

While the visual similarities between both characters are hard to ignore, there can be little doubt that both talented actresses will have delivered their own unique performances once Thor: Ragnarok hits theaters.

In Marvel Studios’ “Thor: Ragnarok“, Thor is imprisoned on the other side of the universe without his mighty hammer and finds himself in a race against time to get back to Asgard to stop Ragnarok – the destruction of his homeworld and the end of Asgardian civilization – at the hands of an all-powerful new threat, the ruthless Hela. But first he must survive a deadly gladictorial contest that pits him against his former ally and fellow Avenger – the Incredible Hulk!

Directed by Taika Waititi, Thor: Ragnarok stars Chris Hemsworth, Tom Hiddleston, Cate Blanchett, Idris Elba, Jeff Goldblum, Tessa Thompson,  Karl Urban, Mark Ruffalo and Anthony Hopkins.

Thor: Ragnarok will be released in theaters on November 3, 2017.
