New ‘Thor: Ragnarok’ Concept Art Shows Loki With A Buzz Cut

Thor-Ragnarok-Loki-HulkThor wasn’t the only character intended to get his head shaven in Thor: Ragnarok — new concept art shows that his adopted brother Loki was going to sport a near-bald look as well.

Concept artist Aleksi Briclot has unveiled a different design he produced for Loki in the movie. The appearance he has is one closer in appearance to a vizier to a dictator than standard battle gear, as he looks more like he’s ready to plot a war campaign than he is to actually get into a fight.

You can check out the concept art below.

Interestingly, Fenris Wolf can be seen in the background of this image, suggesting that it is at his command. Could it have been that at one point in the movie’s development, Loki was meant to fight alongside Hela instead of his brother? Perhaps we might not ever know, but the possibility is there.

Ragnarok‘s cast includes Chris Hemsworth as Thor Odinson, Mark Ruffalo as Doctor Bruce Banner (The Hulk), Tesssa Thompson as Valkyrie, Sir Anthony Hopkins as Odin Borson, Idris Elba as Heimdall, Benedict Cumberbatch as Doctor Stephen Strange, Karl Urban as Skurge, Jeff Goldblum as En Dwi Gast (The Grandmaster), Tom Hiddleston as Loki Laufeyson, Cate Blanchett as Hela, and Clancy Brown as Surtur.

Thor: Ragnarok is still playing in theaters.
