Although Marvel‘s upcoming Thor: Ragnarok will have the Hulk and his alter-ego Bruce Banner (Mark Ruffalo) teaming up once again with his Avengers teammate the film’s titular hero (Chris Hemsworth) director Taika Waititi revealed that there was one Marvel character in particular that he wanted to be featured alongside the God of Thunder.
When asked on his Twitter by a fan in regards to which Marvel character Waititi would have brought into the world of Thor: Ragnarok, the director answered that he would have wanted to have the Merc with the Mouth himself, Deadpool to pop up in the film. You can check out the post below.

While Marvel Studios makes great use of its intellectual property by allowing its character to interact and star alongside each other in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the downside, of course, is of course that we won’t be able to get to see the likes of the X-Men share the big screen with the members of the Avengers or Deadpool with Thor as they are owned by 20th Century Fox.
It is safe to say that it would be interesting to see actor Ryan Reynolds’s take on Deadpool engage in all sorts of adventures and exchange of banter with the likes of Hemsworth’s Thor. In the meantime, moviegoers will still be able to see the two characters in theaters in their own respective films as we are a week away from the release of Thor: Ragnarok and Deadpool 2 makes its way into theaters on June 1, 2018.
Here is the synopsis for the film:
“Imprisoned on the other side of the universe, the mighty Thor (Chris Hemsworth) finds himself in a deadly gladiatorial contest that pits him against the Hulk (Mark Ruffalo), his former ally and fellow Avenger. Thor’s quest for survival leads him in a race against time to prevent the all-powerful Hela (Cate Blanchett) from destroying his home world and the Asgardian civilization.”
The film stars Chris Hemsworth, Tom Hiddleston, Cate Blanchett, Mark Ruffalo, Tessa Thompson, Idris Elba, Karl Urban, and Jeff Goldblum.
Thor: Ragnarok hits theaters on November 3rd.
