Ryan Reynolds’ upcoming time travel film from Free Guy director Shawn Levy has moved from Paramount to Netflix.
Directed by Free Guy director Shawn Levy and written by Jonathan Topper, the upcoming film involves time travel where Ryan Reynolds’ character will travel back in time to get help from his 13-year-old self for a currently unknown purpose. The two will also encounter the character’s late father who is the same age as Ryan Reynolds but it is currently unknown how this will factor into the film. Originally the film was set to be developed by Paramount but it looks like the studio lost interest in the project.
Produced by Skydance, the upcoming Ryan Reynolds time travel film is now set to be developed by Netflix instead of Paramount. Production for the upcoming film is set to commence in November in Vancouver. The upcoming film currently does not have a title nor a release date.

After realizing that he’s a non-playable-character in an open-world video game that will soon get shut down, a bank teller played by Ryan Reynolds named Guy tries his best to save himself and the game from being permanently offline.
Directed by Shawn Levy, Free Guy stars Ryan Reynolds, Lil Rel Howery, Joe Keery, Jodie Comer, Utkarsh Ambudkar, and Taika Waititi. Streamers Ninja and Pokimane will have cameo appearances.
