Dune and Call Me By Your Name star Timothee Chalamet becomes the Dick Grayson version of Robin in an awesome new concept design for Robert Pattinson’s The Batman.

The next live-action Batman movie from War for the Planet of the Apes director Matt Reeves will center on a young Bruce Wayne played by Robert Pattinson, without retelling the character’s familiar origin story. Since Pattinson’s Batman is expected to be in the second year of his crime-fighting career, it’s unlikely that he will already have a Robin working with him. However, there have been rumors that Robin will make an appearance in the highly-anticipated movie.

It’s been a while since Robin was last seen on the silver screen and many fans are hoping that Matt Reeves will include him in his planned Batman trilogy. One of the many actors that fans want to see as the next Robin is Pattinson’s The King co-star Timothee Chalamet, who has expressed interest in playing the the DC Comics character. A digital artist who goes by “Mizuri” on Instagram recently shared a fan edit that showcases what Chalamet could look like as Robin for the upcoming movie. You can check it out below.

Full plot details on The Batman are being kept under lock and key, but we know that the film will center around a younger Bruce Wayne and feature a Rogues’ Gallery of villains that includes Catwoman, The Penguin, and The Riddler. Following the Caped Crusader during his formative years as Gotham City’s protector, The Batman will make use of the hero’s detective skills to a greater extent than previous live-action adaptations. It is expected to be the first chapter in a new Batman trilogy with Robert Pattinson as Bruce Wayne.

Directed by Matt Reeves from a script he co-wrote with Mattson Tomlin, The Batman stars Robert Pattinson as the Dark Knight, Zoe Kravitz as Catwoman, Paul Dano as the Riddler, Jeffrey Wright as Commissioner James Gordon, John Turturro as Carmine Falcone, Peter Sarsgaard as Gil Colson, Jayme Lawson as Bella Reál, with Andy Serkis as Alfred Pennyworth, and Colin Farrell as the Penguin.

The Batman is currently scheduled to be released in theaters on June 25, 2021. Stay tuned for the latest news regarding Timothee Chalamet, Robin, and the next Batman movie.
