New ‘Titans’ Promo Reveals Why Robin Left Batman

A brand new promo for the DC Universe series Titans finally reveals the reason why Brenton Thwaites’ Robin vacated his role as Batman’s sidekick.

The upcoming series features a grown-up Dick Grayson working as a Detective in Detroit, having left his nights of fighting crime with the Caped Crusader long in the past. The biggest mystery surrounding has been why exactly did Robin leave Gotham.

The first official trailer revealed Robin harbored some serious ill-will towards Batman and thanks to this new promo debuted by IGN, we finally understand why the Boy Wonder wants to be as far from the Dark Knight as he can. Check it out below!

The series stars Brenton Thwaites as Richard “Dick” Grayson / Robin, Anna Diop as Koriand’r / Starfire, Teagan Croft as Rachel Roth / Raven, and Ryan Potter as Garfield “Gar” Logan / Beast Boy.

Titans follows young heroes from across the DC Universe as they come of age and find belonging in a gritty take on the classic Teen Titans franchise. Dick Grayson and Rachel Roth, a special young girl possessed by a strange darkness, get embroiled in a conspiracy that could bring Hell on Earth. Joining them along the way are the hot-headed Starfire and loveable Beast Boy. Together they become a surrogate family and team of heroes.

Titans premieres Friday, October 12 on the DC Universe.
