As DC Universe shifts its primary focus onto comics, shows like Titans, Young Justice and Harley Quinn are moving over to HBO Max going forward.
After months of speculation on the future of DC Universe as more of its shows kept moving over to HBO Max, its now been revealed the service will rebrand into DC Universe Infinite – focusing on comics rather than streaming live-action and animated shows. Warner Bros. announced that shows like Titans and Young Justice will move over to HBO Max, with the animated Harley Quinn series also receiving a third season on the service.
DC’s Chief Creative Officer Jim Lee promised comic readers that DC Universe Infinite will not disappoint, revealing that the platform will also feature digital first exclusives as well as unique events only available to DC fans. It’ll be interesting to see how many subscribers DC Universe Infinite will keep as Titans, Young Justice and Harley Quinn all leave the service for HBO Max. Take a look at the statement from Jim Lee below.
“Our fans love the platform’s robust library of comic books and, with the transformation, we will not disappoint. I’m excited to share that not only will DC Universe Infinite members still be able to read all of the great comics that they’ve enjoyed but new issues are debuting on the platform quicker than before, digital first exclusives are being created, and the members-only events will begin as soon as possible. There has never been a better time to be a DC fan!”
