Christopher McQuarrie has announced that Joker star Shea Whigham has joined Tom Cruise and the rest of the cast of the upcoming sequels, Mission: Impossible 7 and Mission: Impossible 8.
On his official social media, Christopher McQuarrie revealed that Joker star Shea Whigham was the latest actor to join the ever-growing cast of the upcoming Mission: Impossible 7 and Mission: Impossible 8, which are both set to shoot back-to-back after the success of Christopher McQuarrie’s previous two entries.

Shea Whigham is an acclaimed character actor whose credits include film roles in Joker, Fast & Furious, Fast & Furious 6, Kong: Skull Island, Star Trek Beyond and The Wolf of Wall Street among others. Shea Whigham is also known for his roles in television shows such as Boardwalk Empire, True Detective and Fargo.
Along with the confirmed return of Tom Cruise and Rebecca Ferguson, the Mission: Impossible sequels will also feature newcomers Hayley Atwell and Pom Klementieff.

Tom Cruise’s Mission: Impossible 7 will hit theaters on July 23, 2021 while Mission: Impossible 8 will hit theaters on August 5, 2022.

DC Universe Debuts ‘Doom Patrol’ Character Posters
Along with the premiere of the first teaser for Doom Patrol, DC Universe also debuted a collection of character posters for each of the members of perhaps the strangest team of characters to be adapted in live-action form for DC Comics.
In particular, these new character posters highlight Timothy Dalton's The Chief, Diane Guerrero's Crazy Jane, Joivan Wade's Cyborg, April Bowlby's Elasti-Woman, Matt Bomer's Negative Man and Brendan Fraser's Robotman. These posters each follow unique designs that reflect the nature of each character and tease unique personalities amongst the group as well.
