Lucifer star Tom Ellis posed with some of the Arrowverse cast members for a behind-the-scenes photo from Crisis On Infinite Earths. It was rumored for some time that Tom Ellis would cameo in the crossover after the star was reportedly spotted on set. To keep his cameo a secret, Lucifer star Tom Ellis had to say that he wasn’t a part of Crisis On Infinite Earths and was simply visiting a friend in Vancouver. But after Lucifer appeared in the crossover, the star apologized to fans.
The new photo released by The CW shows off Lucifer star Tom Ellis alongside Matt Ryan, Katherine McNamara and David Ramsey during filming for Crisis On Infinite Earths Part 3. During the third episode of the crossover, Constantine, Mia and John Diggle travelled to Earth-666 to ask Lucifer to get them into Hell to retrieve Oliver Queen’s soul. It was a brief appearance from Lucifer star Tom Ellis, but fans loved the dynamic between the devil and John Constantine. Crisis on Infinite Earths has been teased since the very first episode of The Flash, where a newspaper headline from the year 2024 revealed the Barry Allen’s fate was to disappear during a “crisis.” However, the fifth season finale of the Grant Gustin series accelerated this when the original newspaper headline changed the date of the event from 2024 to 2019. To add to this, the seventh season finale of Stephen Amell’s Arrow set up Oliver Queen’s role in the next crossover by having him join the Monitor on a mission to warn other worlds of the crisis, as part of the arrangement the Emerald Archer made in order to save the lives of both The Flash and Supergirl.
Crisis On Infinite Earths will span two quarters and consist of Arrow, The Flash, Supergirl, Legends of Tomorrow, and Batwoman. The Arrowverse crossover has aired three episodes in December before concluding with two additional episodes in January.
