Tom Hardy shared a new behind-the-scenes photo of director Andy Serkis on the set of Venom 2.

Sony moved forward with a sequel to Tom Hardy’s Venom not long after the first film proved to be a massive box office hit. While Ruben Fleischer helmed the first Venom film, Andy Serkis will now sit in the director’s chair for the anticipated Tom Hardy sequel.

Production on Venom 2 is currently underway and Tom Hardy took to his official Instagram to share the first behind-the-scenes image of Andy Serkis on set. While the since-deleted photo does not offer much information on Venom 2, it does appear as though Andy Serkis is taking delight in bringing the Tom Hardy sequel to the big screen.

Directed by Andy Serkis from a script written by Kelly Marcel, Venom 2 stars Tom Hardy as Eddie Brock, Michelle Williams as Anne Weying, and Woody Harrelson as Carnage. No Time to Die star Naomie Harris was recently reported to be in talks for the role of Shriek.
