Tom Hardy’s ‘Venom’ Becomes ESPN’s Mascot In New TV Spot

The latest TV spot promoting the release of the Venom starring Tom Hardy features the lethal protector becoming ESPN’s mascot.

The upcoming Venom film featuring Hardy as Eddie Brock is set to be Sony’s first film expanding on its universe of Spider-Man characters when it hits theaters in less than two weeks.

The new ad features Charles Woodson and Randy Moss leading a focus group to select the networks new mascot. Woodson and Moss introduce Marvel’s anti-hero to the rest of the group before he transforms and wreaks havoc on the room. Check it out below!

Venom follows Eddie Brock as he attempts to revive his journalism career by investigating the Life Foundation only to come into with an alien symbiote that bonds with him, granting him powers and transforming him into the titular anti-hero.

Directed by Ruben Fleischer from a script by Jeff Pinkner & Scott Rosenberg and Kelly Marcel, the film Tom Hardy, Michelle Williams, Riz Ahmed, Scott Haze, Reid Scott, Jenny Slate, Ron Cephas Jones, and Woody Harrelson.
