Tom Hiddleston has revealed that the Disney Plus Loki series will confirm whether or not the God of Mischief is really dead.
During the opening act of Avengers: Endgame, Tom Hiddleston’s Loki met his demise at the hands of Thanos. However, an alternate version Loki from the past was introduced when our heroes traveled back to the Battle of New York in order to retrieve the Infinity Stones.
This past version of Loki managed to evade capture by using the Tesseract, but some fans continue to wonder if the original Loki could somehow still be alive considering his penchant for cheating death. During an appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Tom Hiddleston confirmed that Disney Plus’ Loki series will provide answers to this question and more:
“In the years since Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame, […] two questions I’ve been asked: Is Loki really dead and what is Loki doing with that cube? It’s always the cubes. This series will answer both of the questions.”
However, when asked if the reports of Loki involving time travel were true, Tom Hiddleston remained completely silent.
The series will feature Tom Hiddleston as the past version of Loki (who escaped custody by using the Space Stone during the Avengers’ time heist) and follows the character as he becomes embroiled in historical events. In addition to Tom Hiddleston’s Loki, Marvel Studios slate of Disney+ shows includes The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, WandaVision, What If?, Hawkeye, Moon Knight, She-Hulk, and Ms. Marvel. In the meantime, fans can relive Tom Hiddleston’s latest appearance in Avengers: Endgame on all home media formats.
The grave course of events set in motion by Thanos that wiped out half the universe and fractured the Avengers ranks compels the remaining Avengers to take one final stand in Marvel Studios’ grand conclusion to twenty-two films, “Avengers: Endgame.”
Directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, Avengers:Endgame stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Don Cheadle, Paul Rudd, Brie Larson, Karen Gillan, Danai Gurira, Benedict Wong, Jon Favreau, Bradley Cooper, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Josh Brolin.
