In November of 2019, Disney Plus officially launched and became the first real competition to Netflix in the streaming realm thanks, in part, to the release of the Star Wars series, The Mandalorian. Earlier this year, Marvel Studios released WandaVision onto the service which quickly became a big hit with audiences and critics. The Falcon and The Winter Soldier likewise met with similar success, once again cementing Disney Plus as a streaming service to be reckoned with. Last month Tom Hiddleston’s Loki premiered and completely blew the two out of the water.

Last month, it was revealed that Loki had topped the premiers of both WandaVision and Falcon and The Winter Soldier in the sheer number of people who had seen the first episode. It also became Marvel’s fastest-growing show, beating out both of its predecessors. Now we know just how much more time people spent watching Loki as opposed to the other two Marvel Disney Plus series.

According to Nielsen’s streaming rankings, the first episode of WandaVision had over 434 million minutes worth of viewing time. Falcon and The Winter Soldier‘s premier would go on the beat that with over 495 million. The premiere of Loki has completely dwarfed the two, with over 731 million minutes spent on the first episode.

Are you surprised to learn that Loki has beaten out Marvel’s first two shows? What do you think of the series so far? Let us know what you think in the comments below!

Here is the synopsis for the new series:

In Marvel Studios’ “Loki,” the mercurial villain Loki (Tom Hiddleston) resumes his role as the God of Mischief in a new series that takes place after the events of “Avengers: Endgame.”

Directed by Kate Herron, with Michael Waldron serving as head writer, the series stars Tom Hiddleston, Sophia Di Martino, Owen Wilson, and Gugu Mbatha-Raw.

The first five episodes are now streaming on Disney Plus, with new episodes set to be released on Wednesdays. Stay tuned for all of the latest news on Loki and be sure to subscribe to Heroic Hollywood’s YouTube channel for more original video content.
