The new synopsis has arrived for Tom Hiddleston’s Loki series, and it reveals why he’ll be travelling throughout time.

There’s still a few weeks to wait until Loki arrives on Disney Plus, picking up with Tom Hiddleston’s God of Mischief after he was last seen escaping from Earth’s Mightiest Heroes in Avengers: Endgame. The first trailer for the show teased how weird Loki is going to be as the anti-hero hops around the timeline while he works with the Time Variance Authority.

But thanks to a new synopsis via a book available to pre-order showcasing the art of the series, we now know that Loki has a choice to make when the TVA pick him up. Tom Hiddleston’s character can either “face deletion from reality” or work with them in taking down a bigger threat. Since Loki will be a wild cosmic adventure, it suggests that whatever this threat is will be a pretty powerful force within the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Take a look at the synopsis below.

“Picking up immediately after Loki steals the Tesseract (again), he finds himself called before the Time Variance Authority, a bureaucratic organization that exists outside of time and space, forced to answer for his crimes against the timeline and given a choice: face deletion from reality or assist in catching an even greater threat.”
