Tom Hiddleston’s ‘Loki’ Season 2 To Feature Return Of Key Character

Loki is gearing up for a second season.

The second season of Tom Hiddleston’s Loki will feature a key character return.

The first season of Loki ended with an absolute showing as the multiverse was fully unleashed at the hands of Sophie. With He Who Remains dead, no longer able to monitor and manage each individual timeline, one can only imagine the chaos Tom Hiddleston’s Loki and the Time Variant Authority will get up to. While all hell is loose when it comes to managing the timelines, what about some of the key characters who faced major revelations as the season came to a close?

Gugu Mbatha-Raw’s Judge Renslayer learned at the end of the first season that everything she knew about the TVA was an absolute lie. With her questioning the authority she had been forced to join as a variant, she embarks on her own adventure, trying to figure out what the hell is happening.

The character’s arc in the first season of the Tom Hiddleston-led series was weak when compared to others but it has been confirmed that Gugu Mbatha-Raw will return as Judge Renslayer. Speaking with Good Morning America, the star confirmed that she’s on track to return for the second season of Loki, though she didn’t spill any beans regarding Renslayer’s plans. Hopefully, the Judge finds some redemption and uncovers the truth behind the TVA, just as Loki did.

Gugu Mbatha-Raw made her MCU debut in the first season of Loki. Here is the synopsis for the Disney Plus series:

In Marvel Studios’ “Loki,” the mercurial villain Loki (Tom Hiddleston) resumes his role as the God of Mischief in a new series that takes place after the events of “Avengers: Endgame.”

Directed by Kate Herron, with Michael Waldron serving as head writer, the new series stars Tom Hiddleston, Sophia Di Martino, Owen Wilson, Gugu Mbatha-Raw.
