Tom Hiddleston revealed when Marvel Studios and Disney+’ Loki series begins production during an interview with Entertainment Weekly.
While Tom Hiddleston’s Loki was killed by Thanos during the opening scene of Avengers: Infinity War, a past version of the God of Mischief used the Space Stone to evade capture after the 2012’s Battle of New York when our heroes interfered with events during their time travel heist. Now, Tom Hiddleston will reprise his role as the alternate Loki for the Marvel and Disney+ series and the actor revealed filming will commence in early 2020 while comparing the God of Mischief to his character in the broadway play Betrayal:
“Loki will start at the top of next year. He’s such a classical character. [Thor and Loki], they’re from Norse myths — they have a kind of gravitas to them. Robert in Betrayal is much more earthbound. They’re both very complex, but Robert is a publisher and a husband and a father. Loki is the god of mischief. [Laughs] Two quite different figures.”
In addition to Tom Hiddleston’s Loki, Marvel Studios slate of Disney+ shows includes The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, WandaVision, What If?, and Hawkeye.
Until Loki returns in the Marvel and Disney+ series, fans can relive Tom Hiddleston’s latest appearance in Avengers: Endgame on Digital HD.
The grave course of events set in motion by Thanos that wiped out half the universe and fractured the Avengers ranks compels the remaining Avengers to take one final stand in Marvel Studios’ grand conclusion to twenty-two films, “Avengers: Endgame.”
Directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, Avengers:Endgame stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Don Cheadle, Paul Rudd, Brie Larson, Karen Gillan, Danai Gurira, Benedict Wong, Jon Favreau, Bradley Cooper, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Josh Brolin.
Avengers: Endgame will be released on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD on August 13.
