A new batch of set photos from the second season of the MCU Disney Plus series Loki show stars Tom Hiddleston and Owen Wilson getting back to work on another TVA assignment.
The first season of Loki saw the titular God of Mischief, played by Tom Hiddleston, encountering the Time Variance Authority after he broke away from the “Sacred Timeline” during the time travel antics of Avengers: Endgame.
During his time at the TVA, Loki found himself partnering up with Owen Wilson’s Agent Mobius as they attempted to track down a rogue Loki variant. Ultimately, this rogue variant – Sophia Di Martino’s Sylvie – killed He Who Remains, the TVA’s founder, and unleashed the multiverse. This led to Loki finding himself in a new version of the TVA, where Mobius no longer knew him.
Loki & Mobius: Together Again
A new batch of Loki Season 2 set photos, shared by the Daily Mail, show Loki actor Tom Hiddleston and Mobius actor Owen Wilson suited up as they get to work on another TVA assignment.
Interestingly, this suggests that Loki is still working for the TVA, despite his history with them seemingly being erased. Fans will also be pleased to see he seems to be allying with Mobius once more.
The images also confirm the TVA remains active after Sylvie shattered the Sacred Timeline, effectively creating the Multiverse and leaving the TVA under the control of Jonathan Majors’ Kang the Conqueror – the tyrannical variant of He Who Remains. Check out the set photos below:
While the images confirm Tom Hiddleston and Owen Wilson are back and out on assignment for the TVA again in Loki Season 2, little else is revealed by the new images. There’s nothing here to suggest where or when the scenes being shot take place.
So far, Loki is the only MCU series on Disney Plus to be given a second season.
