Avengers directors the Russo Brothers tease the trailer for Cherry starring Spider-Man star Tom Holland as an Army medic suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder.
While most Marvel fans are excited to see Tom Holland return as Spider-Man, his next project with the Russo Brothers, will see him take on a drastically different role than some audiences might expect. The film sees Holland play an Army medic who becomes a serial bank robber to fund his addiction problems, which stem from dealing with post-traumatic stress. Back in April, Joe Russo opened up about the star’s performance in the film, calling it “Oscar worthy.” But most recently, the Avengers directors teased that a trailer is on the way.
One of the companies behind Tom Holland’s Cherry, AGBO Films, recently posted an old clip of the actor and his Spider-Man co-stars discussing what they’d do if they were superheroes. MJ actress Zendaya joked that Holland would rob a bank, before the clip cut to a shot of the star doing just that in Cherry. The post was originally captioned “Not the Cherry trailer, but @tomholland2013 has been scheming for a while”. The Avengers directors also reposted the clip from AGBO Films, simply saying “Likely story…” Hopefully this means a trailer for Cherry will arrive sooner rather than later. Take a look at the clip below.
