Tom Holland’s ‘Cherry’ From ‘Avengers’ Directors Lands At Apple TV

The upcoming film has found a new home at Apple TV!

Tom Holland’s upcoming new crime drama, Cherry, from Avengers: Endgame directors, The Russo Brothers, has landed at Apple TV.

Since wrapping up their work on the Avengers films, The Russo Brothers have been hard at work on a new crime drama called Cherry with Spider-Man star Tom Holland. The film itself is based on a novel of the same name and follows a war veteran who suffers from PTSD and begins robbing banks in order to fuel his drug addiction. Now the upcoming film has found its new streaming home.

Since the coronavirus pandemic hit, studios have had to fundamentally rethink the way they market and distribute their films. Many of the planned film releases of 2020 were pushed back to later dates while others opted to go with either VOD options or streaming services. Tom Holland’s upcoming Cherry film has opted to go with the latter.

According to Deadline, the upcoming Tom Holland film from The Russo Brothers will be made available on Apple TV sometime in early 2021. The new service picked up the distribution rights to the new film from the Avengers director for nearly $50M. The film, however, does not have an official release date.
