‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’: Tom Holland Supports Free Comic Book Day

Tom Holland, STEM
Tom Holland may be a comic book movie star as the titular hero in Spider-Man: Homecoming, but as it turns out, he’s a big fan of the comics themselves. In a new promotional video, Holland encourages fans to go to their local comic book stores soon.

Free Comic Book Day got Holland to record a YouTube message encouraging fans to attend their local comic book stores on the geek holiday to support local businesses and the comic book industry alike. He points out that FCBD attendees will get a shot at picking up a new issue of Spectacular Spider-Man that they’ll be able to keep for free.

In addition to Holland’s message, a representative of Free Comic Book Day issued a press release pointing out the essentials of the event:

(Baltimore, MD) — (April 26, 2017) — With Free Comic Book Day right around the corner, Tom Holland (Spider-Man) encourages fans to participate in the event. Marvel Comics has two titles available: Secret Empire #1 featuring the new Spectacular Spider-Man series and All-New Guardians of the Galaxy #1 featuring the new Defenders series.
