Tom Holland and Mark Wahlberg have graced the cover of Total Film Magazine for Uncharted.

After being stuck in development hell for over a decade, Sony and PlayStation Studios are finally set to release Uncharted later this year. Based on the hit videogame franchise of the same name, the film will see Tom Holland as the hotshot treasure hunter Nathan Drake and Mark Wahlberg as Sully, his partner-in-crime/distorted mentor. Joining the duo will be Sophia Ali’s Chloe Frazer, an adventurer with a mysterious past.

Marketing for the film has been ramping up in the last few weeks, as Sony Pictures debuted the second, story-heavy trailer for the adaptation. The film will see a young Nathan Drake being recruited by Sully to find the missing treasure that could potentially lead Drake to his older brother, Sam. Along the way, they’ll battle with Antonio Banderas’ Moncada who is in search of the same loot.

With the film set to debut later next month, Tom Holland and Mark Wahlberg have graced the cover of Total Film magazine as their characters from the film. The subscriber cover shows Nathan Drake with a sword, which is a far cry from the pistols and machine guns he normally uses to mow down generic henchmen. Interestingly, Mark Wahlberg is seen without Sully’s signature mustache on both covers. Sully’s iconic stache was teased in Uncharted‘s second trailer.

Directed by Venom helmer Reuben Fleischer from a script written by Art Marcum & Matt Holloway and Rafe Judkins, Uncharted is being produced by Sony PlayStation Productions, with Asad Qizilbash and Carter Swan producing alongside Charles Roven, Avi Arad, Alex Gartner, and Ari Arad.

Uncharted will be released in theaters on February 18th, 2022. Stay tuned for all the latest news on Sony’s Uncharted adaptation and be sure to subscribe to Heroic Hollywood’s YouTube channel for more video content!
