Tom Holland revealed that he filmed one of his “coolest scenes ever” with a mysterious character for Spider-Man: No Way Home.
Despite having a full-length trailer out, we don’t know much about Tom Holland’s upcoming Spidey threequel. Rumors have suggested for quite some time that previous Spider-Men Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield will pop up in No Way Home thanks to the multiverse opening up, though everyone involved in the production has denied the rumors. There is some credence towards these rumors as some of Maguire and Garfield’s previous villains are set to appear in the film, like Alfred Molina’s Doctor Octopus and Jamie Foxx’s Electro.
With so much unknown about the film, it’s certain that Spider-Man: No Way Home has some secrets up its sleeve that it won’t reveal until we’re in theatres. To tease us, Tom Holland told Empire that he filmed “one of the coolest scenes ever” with a mysterious character. Who is the mysterious character? Holland wouldn’t budge, but he did reveal who else was in the scene.
The coolest scene ever features Tom Holland’s Peter Parker, Jon Favreau’s Happy Hogan, and Marisa Tomei’s Aunt May, in addition to the mysterious character.
“It’s four people sitting at a table, having a conversation about what it’s like to be a superhero, and it was amazing. The other day we watched the scene, my brother and I, and our jaws were on the floor.”
Who could the mysterious character be? Perhaps Holland and his family/friends are chatting to another Spider-Man to gain his perspective on being a hero? Or it could be another Avenger popping up? Who knows. But for someone who has been known to spoil key moments time and time again, Holland’s silence and evasiveness when it comes to Spider-Man: No Way Home is paramount.
Here is the synopsis for Tom Holland’s Spider-Man: No Way Home:
“For the first time in the cinematic history of Spider-Man, our friendly neighborhood hero is unmasked and no longer able to separate his normal life from the high-stakes of being a Super Hero. When he asks for help from Doctor Strange the stakes become even more dangerous, forcing him to discover what it truly means to be Spider-Man.”
Directed by Jon Watts from a script written by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers, No Way Home stars Tom Holland, Zendaya, Jacob Batalon, Tony Revolori, Martin Starr, J.B. Smoove, Marisa Tomei, Jon Favreau, Benedict Wong, Benedict Cumberbatch, and Alfred Molina.
